WOW! BMS INTEGRATED CLEAN™ delivers the best practices for Infection Prevention

EPA Registered Disinfectants

To help reduce the spread of  COVID-19, we have integrated EPA Registered Disinfectants and the CDC Infection Control Guidance & Recommendations in to our standard operating procedures. Prior to COVID-19, our Building Maintenance Solutions did not have the ability to fight against the virus. In response, we have replaced our multi-purpose cleaners and disinfectants with EPA-registered disinfectants to get the job done properly.

Cleaning and Disinfecting

Cleaning is not Disinfecting and the CDC makes a strong differentiation between the two:

Cleaning is the removal of germs, dirt, and impurities from surfaces. Cleaning does not eliminate germs, but by removing them, it lowers their numbers and risk.

Disinfecting eliminates the bacteria on cleaned surfaces. This process does not clean a dirty surfaces or remove germs. After cleaning, disinfecting eliminates infection-causing germs which will lower the risk of spreading infection even further.

Our staff knows and understands the difference between the two. Our skilled experts goes above and beyond to do their part to help lower the risk of spreading infections like COVID-19 in each facility.

Innovative Technologies

We implement the latest cleaning and disinfecting technologies to deliver a higher level of safety. When there’s a new and better way to get the job done, we’re going to give it a shot. Our INTEGRATED CLEAN™ program will be continually updated, not only to reflect the current best practices, but we’re also committed to piloting new and emerging technologies.

Electrostatic Disinfection

One of the best — and our favorite —  technology to use is the Electrostatic Spray gun. With this technology, our staff is able to operate quickly while delivering reliable results. This innovative technology sprays an electrostatically charged mist onto surrounding surfaces and objects, applying disinfectants, sanitizers and mold preventatives for a 360-degree complete clean. Electrostatic sprayers allows our staff to deliver better disinfectant coverage and application to surfaces.

Apart from delivering a complete disinfection, electrostatic sprayers allows our staff to disinfect surfaces without touching them. By not touching surfaces, the chances of cross-contamination between surfaces is diminished and our employees are protected from being infected.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

The safety and wellbeing of our team is important to us. We equip our INTEGRATED CLEAN™ team with PPE to protect them so they can do their jobs safely.

Porter & Matron Services

Now more than ever, a Day Porter or Matron can be an integral part of a successful Return-To-Work program.

Our Porter & Matron service ensures the health and safety of your workplace by providing a wide range of cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting services while your employees and customers are present. Our Porter or Matron will work in conjunction with your night cleaning team to provide a holistic approach to ensuring a hygienic environment 24/7.

Cross Contamination Prevention

We have always implemented a color-coded system to help prevent cross-contamination prior to COVID-19. However, in response to COVID-19, we have implemented an upgraded color-coded microfiber system that includes a specific color for high touch surfaces.

Occupant Communication Signage Kits

Even the best of the best disinfection program only works if occupants do their part. Personal hygiene and social practices are a must to keep infections from spreading. If needed, we can provide printed and digital signs to let people know your facility has been disinfected and help promote social practices that keep everyone healthy together.

2. INTEGRATED CLEAN™ Site Risk Assessment and Scope of Work Review

WOW! BMS can provide assistance and recommendations to clients who want to assess the occupational risk to COVID-19 in each facility/building, which may require an updated and enhanced scope or work needed for re-entry. A periodic assessment of risk levels following OSHA’s and CDC guidance after operations resume may be conducted to keep employees safe on a continuous basis.

COVID-19 Risk Assessment

OSHA classifies occupational risk to COVID-19 infections as:

  1. Lower Exposure Risk – activities that do not require contact between people known to be, or suspected of being, infected with COVID-19 nor frequent close contact with (within 6 feet of) the general public.
  2. Medium Exposure Risk – activities that require frequent and/or close contact with (within 6 feet of) people who may be infected with COVID-19, but who are not known or suspected to be infected with COVID-19.
  3. High Exposure Risk – activities with high potential for exposure to known or suspected sources of COVID-19.
  4. Very High Exposure Risk – activities with high potential for exposure to known or suspected sources of COVID-19 during specific medical, postmortem, or laboratory procedures.

The health and wellbeing of our team is of utmost importance to us. We provide them with training in the following:

  • Proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Best practices for surface cleaning and disinfection
  • Proper use of EPA-approved disinfectants as well as the importance of adherence to dwell times, safe handling and required PPE
